XiT Distribution - Return Authorisation Terms and Conditions

XiT Distribution will not accept return of any product that has not been allocated a Return Authorisation Number (RMA) by XiT.

All requests for RA’s should be made via the online form above.  The information requirements of the Request for RA are designed to ensure a clear understanding of the units being returned, to ensure the units are ready for collection, and to provide a clear audit trail for dispute handling purposes.

All returned products must have the provided RA number clearly marked on EACH carton label. Please use the address labels provided.

DO NOT WRITE DIRECTLY ON THE CARTON, your return will be rejected if you do.

Products returned without a valid RA number will not be accepted and will be returned to the sender at the sender’s expense.


Return of Goods No Longer Required /  Change Of Mind

Stock return requests must be made within 14 days of invoice and will be subject to management approval. Approved return requests will be subject to a minimum 15% or $50 Ex-GST re-stocking and handling fee, whichever is greater and this may be increased at any time at XIT’s discretion.

Software, Licenses, Warranties, Special Orders and any Discontinued items cannot be returned.

Where XiT accepts the request, XIT will provide an RA number. Goods must be returned at the resellers expense to their closest XIT office. Stock must be returned to XiT within 14 days. If goods are not received within 14 days after RA approval, your RA request will be cancelled with no possibility of re-issue.


All returned products must be in “As Supplied” condition sealed in the original packaging with all accessories, user manuals, cables and blank warranty cards. Returns will not be accepted for any stock that has been opened, used or returned incomplete.

XIT strongly recommends using a reputable carrier capable of providing proof of delivery and that the stock is properly packed and fully insured for any loss or damage. The reseller shall be liable for any damage incurred during transport of returned goods.


Return of Faulty Goods or Goods Damaged in Transit

To the greatest extent possible, the reseller should inspect the unit and ensure the fault is caused by a manufacturing defect and not by end-user misuse, abuse or incorrect operation of the unit (such as failing to read the user manual). For all other defect claims or where the cause of the fault cannot be readily determined, the reseller should contact XIT for further assistance prior to submitting a request for Return Authorisation.

XiT Distribution will not accept returns of units that have been damaged whilst the product is in the reseller’s possession and control or by a customer. All goods in transit are at purchaser's risk. If you have received goods that have been damaged in transit, you must notify XIT immediately in writing. Please ensure the goods are inspected by the receiver before signing Proof of Delivery. XiT will not be liable if Proof of Delivery (POD) does not identify that cartons were damaged in transit. No claims of this nature will be recognised more than 7 days after receipt.

Where XiT accepts the request, XIT will provide an RA number. XiT will book the return on your behalf with the information you supply on the RA form and forward on all references for your convenience. If courier pick up is unsuccessful it is your responsibility to rebook the pickup with the supplied references and have it returned to a XiT Warehouse within 14 days. If goods are not received within the 14 days your RA will be cancelled.

Where a product is not ready for pickup at the agreed time and location, costs incurred by XiT by reason of futile pickup will be passed on to the reseller through a reduction in any credit given.

XiT will assess the product. Any product found not to have a manufacturing defect or sufficient seriousness to oblige XiT to accept a return, reseller will not be credited and will be returned to the reseller and the costs of assessment and transport will be charged.

Wherever possible, faulty or damaged products should be returned in the original packaging. In all cases resellers must ensure that products are packed in such as to avoid further damage during transport. Products must be returned with all parts and accessories. Where products are incomplete, XiT reserves the right to reduce the amount of credit given as per vendor direction in respect to any missing items.

Credits will be processed once returned units have been inspected and pass the incoming goods inspection less any deductions made for incomplete units. Some products will need to be sent away to the vendor for assessment. A credit will only be provided upon approval from the vendor.
